Etching and prep question

Hey guys,

I purchased an epoxy/urethane kit from GarageCoatings.com. I've etched with muratic acid (about 60/40 acid to water), but not sure if it's good enough....seems pretty inconsistent, but rougher than pre-etch. In the pic by the entrance, you can see the area outside the door that I didn't etch for contrast. The swirl marks you see on the floor are from my power-washing after rinse.

I have 1000ft newly poured slab (6 months ago). I do have fiber. I'm considering renting a diamond grinder and just biting the bullet, but wanted to get some opinions. If I go that route, will I have a fiber mess to deal with (burn, etc)?

Attached are some pics. Thanks!

Ahh, seems like my Imgur pics aren't embedding correctly, and I'm a newb and can't post a link to album. If you right-click, you should be able to then launch the images. Sorry about that!

No fiber mess if you grind. Etching will sometimes create a fiber mess that requires sanding or burning them off. If not, they tend to stand straight up when applying a coating.
