Got an odd job to do. My garage doesn't have a roller door yet and I want to etch the concrete floor. Trouble is I've got no way of washing the etching solution out of the garage.

Any suggestions? Or should I just hit it with a hose and mop it up as quick as I can.

Seems like renting a floor maintainer with a diamabrush would be the way to go. You could then vacuum out the dust. Even so, I think you would still want to wash and rinse with water. Vacuum it out as well.

I ended up just cutting out on of the side sliding doors and used a plastic watering can to apply the 10% hydrochloric acid solution and then washed it out the door with a bit of help from a broom.

I just did my basement floor, etched and scrubbed, then mop and bucket many many times. Thought I was good then I tested it with litmus paper and I was still acidic. Neutralized with a baking soda / water mix using mop and bucket again. Got the pH around 6.5-7 prior to prime / paint, as per the paint instructions.

Mop with etch solution, the re mop with water and banking soda or lots of fresh water.
