Hey guys it’s my first time doing anything with concrete. I started degreasing and etching my garage weekend. We let it dry for 12 hours overnight. The next day we planned on taping and applying the garage coating(RockSolid), however, I started noticing this white film on the concrete(efflorensence?) I tried cleaning/scrubbing with a mixture of baking soda and water. Then I pressure washed it again. This morning it’s still whitish; floor feels smooth and not quite like sandpaper. Should I acid etch and pressure wash it again? Or is it safe to apply the coating?

The picture of my friend squatting is after night. Second picture is this morning after I did more scrubbing and rinsing yesterday. I bought this today, should I do another cleaning with this?

You should be ok, etch doesn't change the surface texture to 'sandpaper', the pores is puts in are microscopic.

Alternately we now offer our No-Prep primer for coating floors which eliminates the need to etch or grind.
