Etching tools

Any issues with etching tools with the saltwater method? Looking at using a battery and salt water to etch initials into some Snap-on and Williams ratchets but don't know if it would mess up the plating. Thanks

Thanks for mentioning this process. I was unaware of it. After watching a couple of online videos I get the idea. This is why I like GJ.
