Need some info on a Gedore open ended wrench and a unknown,unstamped/marked rachet (loose 1/2 drive).

I would like to know how old the Gedore spanner is. To me the embossing on it looks 20's/30's which is why I bought it. Its sizes are 1/2 and 7/16. Don't know what measurement is but its not the normal imperial measurement.

The rachet I know nothing about. It is a loose fit on a 1/2 socket. There are no makers name/marks on it atall. Its bare metal but there are some bits of black paint visible on the internals.Must be 9in long. Didn't count how many teeth but I could find out if needed.

The spanner and rachet together.

I paid €1 for the rachet and a small rough-fair condition britool ring spanner (11/12 MM) and another €1 for the Gedore spanner.

€1 = £1.32

Not sure on the ratchet but the wrench is probably British Whitworth measurement.

^ It isint the normal BSW measurment. One end is marked 1/2 and its nearly an inch wide.

Whitworth is correct. 1/2W = .92"

No idea on the ratchet, but it's possibly a 7/16"-drive if it's truly loose on a 1/2". A caliper should answer that question quickly.
