Has anyone seen a lift like this in the USA?

Don't really like how they are using it but look like the berries either to do quick oil changes and tire/brake work or if doing under car work jacking each wheel up to place tall wheel stands under each tire. Faster than "myjackstand" I really like the air bags as well. No hydraulics or screws is a big plus

Might just be me but that things an accident waiting to happen. Case in point if you watched the video when did they start putting emergency brakes on the front of a car? Just saying :)

What happens if there's a bag blowout or a check valve failure? Doesn't appear to be any mechanical stop if that happens. Seems like it would be easy for the pinch weld adapters to slide or for the lift itself to kick out on any sort of smooth surface, too. And, without chocking the front wheels, the car rolling out from the lift also seems likely to happen.

I can see how it might be convenient as a jack replacement for doing things like brake jobs that don't require much other than getting the wheel off the ground, but I sure as hell wouldn't be under a car supported by it.

Not just you. I can't see this ending well. It's just a jack run on air without jack stands.

As I said originally I don't like how they are using it in the video. I would be using as a quick air jack only.

I think as a jack it is safer than trying to use a floor jack trying to get each wheel at a time up on jack stands or wheel stands. Also I could use it to lift the front or back axle of my gmc 6500 lopro truck to service it.

You could do that, but again. What if there's a bag blow out? Then the car is down and you have to use a jack anyway. Plus with a jack you can just put it under the axle and lift both rear/front at the same time hten throw in jack stands. And it would take a lot less time since you push and pump. No real aligning.

For me personally it seems like a waste. I would never trust that thing. Maybe to lift the car for a wax job or something. But I'd never get under a car with that thing.

As for your original question, no. Can't say I've ever seen one of those used in the US before.

It would tempt someone to get underneath, you know, just for a second. That's all it takes. If it truely doesn't have a mechanical stop, I wouldn't want it and I'm not so sure I'd want it anyway.
