i added an evap cooler in my shop. Works great (in Colorado). The biggest problem in my area is the hard water. It tends to leave a fine white powder on the fan wheel and duct when the water evaporates, so if it hasn't been on in a while, it blows out fine dust for a little while.
Not a big thing, but unwanted!
Has anyone tried filtering the discharge air on an evap cooler?
I know the fan wheels won't push much static pressure, so a pleated filter or anything to restrictive wouldn't work. Also, you wouldn't want to get a filter moist or there would be bigger issues.
If anyone has filtered the air with any success, please let me know how / what you did.
Thanks
