sounds like a good deal to me. I've never ordered it online, I've got mine from harbor freight but I see the price has almost doubled from what I remember it being. I thought it was 16 bucks or so for a gallon and then use the 20% off coupon but now it's 30 bucks a gallon.

This might be a can of worms, but here goes...

Evapo-Rust is a trademark licensed to other companies besides the owner. Apparently this includes a formulation, and possibly the supply of a concentrate. The idea is sorta like Coke syrup being supplied to bottlers. Can anyone confirm that's an accurate description, and if not, update us?

Now, has anyone had any experience with different Evapo-Rust "bottlers"? Not just similar products, of which there are serveral. This refers to the genuine trademarked Evapo-Rust.

FWIW, my close observation but non-scientific testing prefers the brew from the original company, based in Arkansas.

My local Rural King stocks it in their automotive chemical aisle for $16/gal. I can't find it on the Rural King website though.

I was in Rural King earlier this evening and forgot to look. :(

I've been buying it at O'Reilly Auto Parts for $21.99 for several years, and in two states (Ill. and Mo.).

I have been using CLR (Calcium, Lime, Rust) remover with the same results as Evaporust. Not sure how it compares price wise but you find CLR at nearly every garage/estate sale for next to nothing.
