Yep 9/32" is used on some No 10 screws, including lag ones and thus presumably self-tappers.

The 9/32" fits the grease retainer plugs that Ford used to use on Mustang/Falcon/Mavrick and such front suspension. They were a ***** to get out as they were very tight and the access to them was very tight also. These metal on metal suspension parts would squeak and wear like crazy once the lifetime grease (24 months or so) was gone. Very annoying noise every time the body moved up and down.

I use mine more often than I realize. Lots of interior and exterior trim and custom aluminum panels on purpose built cars
