It's not the common stuff I have to search for but the oddball tools not used very often. But it's funny how my most used tools have gravitated to the front of the drawers so I only have to open them half way. Also, my pliers drawer was at one time all sctioned into channel locks, needle nose,... now my fave's are near the front left along with a small ball peen hammer that I use a lot.

Oh, and I do enjoy telling people where to get a tool... left box, mid section, top drawer (phillips screwdrivers).

I combined 3 boxes into 1 earlier this year. I really like having dedicated drawers for pliers, screwdrivers, punches, files, impacts, ....

I still open 2-3 drawers looking for the right one, I don't wrench every day like I once did; just part time keeping the family fleet going.

It's not all bad, I get to use that mint set of SO boxes from the mid 80's - KR527, KR537, KR547, and KR557.

magnetic pictograms

Hey, I like this idea!

Where did you come up with the icons?

I've done a Google search, but haven't seen these yet.

I put stick on labels on my old CM boxes, but they left residue when removed.

YES. I upgraded boxes 3 times in the last 1-1/2 years. I'm finally getting used to my current box, but this is one I think I can be happy with pretty much indefinately.

I'd like to know where you got them as well. Very cool and you can move the magnets around easy enough if you move tools.

I just did a major reorganization of my tools to make more efficient use of the space. (Read-Add more tools) so I also bought the Sears magnetic labels. Still trying to get the new system down.

They should be available through their USA subsidiary "Klann tools".

I labeled the work boxes because the guys couldn't figure out what drawer had what and I got tired of them opening and slamming the drawers 80 million times a day. :bounce:

What's interesting is I was working out of a friends toolbox the other day and the drawers are almost all the same as mine. I just met him this year and I setup my box about 6 years ago... it kinda freaked me out!
