So I was thinking the other day how awesome it would be to only need 2 flip sockets to be able to remove lug nuts from every car on the road except large dodge trucks and some land rovers and maybe jags.

A standard 19mm 21MM flip socket is obvious and easy to find. The only other common sizes are 17MM for zee germans, and 7/8" for most large vehicles. I REALLY want a 17mm-7/8" flip socket! Have any of you ever seen/heard of one? I've searched forever but can't find one.

22 is too tight, 7/8" is actually 22.225mm, the lug nuts always get stuck on.

The flip kits with three sockets cover those sizes.

I know but it would be awesome to only need 2 sockets to cover 98% of all cars.

the flip sockets i got from HF had 17and 19, 21 and 7/8, 13/16 and 3/4

It's nice to have 19 and 21 on the same socket because it's not always immediately evident whether you're looking at a 19 or a 21. But you can easily tell if it's a 17mm or 7/8"

Like he said... problem solved... HF set covers those sizes with 2 of the 3 sockets in it. They are just matched up differently but cover the same thing.

17 & 19
21 & 7/8
