I have a Mac and a Petersen c-clamp holder for a 10" ViseGrip that does the same thing with a regular tool.

Basically like a clamp on vise, but using a Vice Grip style pliers. Just small light duty "hold this for a second" work. Could see the appeal to some, not much to me.

Bahco makes a locking pliers holder that does the same thing. I have the Proto branded version.

I could see that working as a separate item rather than relegating a pair of grips to a single purpose and unusable for any other purpose.

I keep my set in my road box for times when I need an extra support.
