This may be more of a rant/vent thing, but what has the customer service from everlast been like for those of you who have had to use it?

I ordered my welder on Christmas, yes I know its a busy time of year I'm not expecting amazon prime speeds. I get my ups tracking code on the 27th, delivery is set for today. I worked some extra hours, changed my shifts around, and set delivery for pickup from my local ups. I was having some tracking issues or so I thought I was so I called up ups and asked to see what was up. They told me that my order never actually shipped.

After that I spent a half hour trying to get a hold of someone at everlast to see what was going on. When I did I was told that its currently out of stock and that it would hopefully be restocked within the week and I might get it in about 5 business days after that. I told the rep that it would have been nice to have some kind of notice so I didnt mess my schedule up and waste my time. The rep told me they didnt have the time to email all of their customers to let them know that they were out of stock...what the ****. I then started to ask about other shipping option and before I even get close to saying what I needed to he cuts me off and says that they will not do any other shipping options and that they only do standard ground shipping. Thank god I'm not a small business owner.

So I leave it at that before I loose my temper and waste my breath trying to *** jack someone over the phone who could give 2 fucks.

So I cool down after a bit i realize that they state that their 30 day full return warranty starts when its "shipped" so now i email them during business hours to see find out if my warranty started 27th because 9 out of 10 their records will show the 27th or when it would actually ship. I realize I'm being impatient but I would have hoped for a reply back before the close of their business day.

Ok rant over, sorry just disappointed

Which ever last dealer? I bought mine in Canada. They were pretty nice to deal with and helpful with question I had before and after. Also took back the gun I bought in exchange for longer one(I paid for shipping and price difference) but still appreciate them doing that. This was from everlast welders.ca. Was also impressed on shipping as fedex said 10 business days and it showed up Thursday and I ordered it Monday evening. Pretty fast for Canada when I’m 2400 km away.

Everlastgenerators.com. one of the main reasons for purchasing an everlast was that their customer service was supposed to be top notch. I spent a good amount of time researching them and their product with both results being fantastic.

You get your welder, whenever the boat comes in from China and the right container gets delivered to Everlast and then a couple of days after that. No quicker

Found that out before with local companies importing from China, there shipping dates could be a couple of weeks later than first estimated. Patiently wait i guess

That's the issue I guess, everything Affordable is made china and Affordable and US made do not go hand in hand and this was gonna be the best welder I could get for $800. But i still think leaving your customer in the dark is just shot customer service.

Well I got an email from their warranty department stating that the initial 30 day warranty will not start until it actually ships.
