Does anyone have input as to portable metal cutting cold saws ? recently i used a Milwaukee version that cut clean, quick and was a small package that could be taken to jobs easily. I found evolution saws online, but have zero experience with them. I never cut anything thicker then .120 wall and mostly DOM tube and 4130.

These seem to be priced fair, what do you think if you have experience with this company or saws like this?

I have their 10" sliding miter saw. It works great. Virtually no sparks, and a clean, accurate cut. I still have the original blade on it. I've cut 3x3x1/4" angle, and 5/8" dia. steel rod with it. It does throw a lot of chips, so wear eye protection and gloves.

We use one at work for cutting sheet up to 3/8" thick. Not the quickest thing ever, but it's a nice clean cut and if you set it up right the blades last a long time.

We have used the Circular saw type Evolution Saw at work on many projects. The thing cuts through anything that we put it through with ease. We have even used it on 1" thick steel with no issues.

As was stated above, it is not the fastest cutting method, but the cut is great.
