Evolution S14 MCS

Hi, I have been drooling over the Evolution S14MCS, mitre metal saw and the Evolution stand for it. I have searched for some unbiased opinions, without much luck. Any experience with this saw and or stand? 1000$ for the saw and 295$ for the stand. Any good or bad experiences please let me know. Looking for some discount codes would help me decide. Thanks All!

Ive used one. Its OK. The work holding is improved, but the sliding head is a still a little sketch and not totally convinced its helping much?

If it was my money.... $1300 you can get a very nice bandsaw which offers lots more flexibility, lower operating cost (blades), less mess, and less noise.


I do like the Evolution line of tools however, I think they offer a lot of tool for the money. I had the original 14" cast base cold cut saw, it was better then the Dewalt and Milwaukee at the time.

Also keep in mind that mobile base isnt anything special, you can find similar styles for less money ie Ridgid and Dewalt and used market

I've owned a 14" evolution saw (with the conventional base, not the miter saw style base) and I have owned that exact grizzly saw. I would take the grizzly every single time.

Maybe wait, I have a larger, commercial horizontal band saw, I need to adjust it, so it cuts properly. I have a portable Milwaukee band saw that works great, as well as a 7" Milwaukee circular cold cut, that also works great. Thank and I appreciate any more input, Art

@artieb for me its all about the rotating head/ swivel head on the saw

Keeps you from moving a 20ft stick of steel around the shop, just rotate the head and cut


I picked up the beefier G0614 swivel head, its a beast, hasnt flinched yet, super repeatable cuts

Oh boy, I had to look.... they have another paint scratch model on their Ebay Auction site

This is how I got my saw

Offered $1750, they took it, $315 to ship total- $2065- doesnt get much better for a paint scratch
(heads up its 3ph power, I converted my w/ VFD)
