Can I use a Freud Diablo Steel blade in my Evolution Fury (2) saw?

I know that both are 14" by 1" (will fit) but I don't know if its been done before.

The factory blades: here
The Freud blade I am looking at: here or here

My current Evolution blade is getting "jumpy dull" and I have a lot of small fab projects lined up. Saving $10 to $28 per blade would be great and the Freuds have a good reputation.

yes you can, i have the 14in steel demon on my Rage 2 saw. Best blade you can get, out performs the 100+ dollar blades on the market. I got mine from Cripe too, fast shipping. You really won't be disappointed with the diablo blade at all. You just can't cut aluminum or SS with it. You can most likely get your oem blade sharpened too. I broke a few carbide teeth on mine and got the saw retoothed and sharpened for under 25 bucks.

Thank you! I was worried about the RPMs at fist, but my Evolution blade says Max RPM 1450 and the Freud says under 1800 RPM.

That, plus your recommendation is all I need.

Yup, if the RPM are within the blade's range and it fits in place you're good. Freud Diablo blades have a very good reputation.

I never used one until i started a kitchen project and i bought a 12in fine cut for my miter saw and i've never bought another one since. The blades that come on the rage saws are quite good actually, especially considering they can do steel, aluminum, wood, plastic whatever. But if you do lots of steel work, the Diablo is the way to go for sure. I have 4 blades and their all basically backups for when my diablo needs to go out for sharpening or re-toothing. Just don't cut stainless or non ferrous with it. Find a machine shop that can sharpen tct blades and have them freshen up your fury blade for a backup.

I really like those Diablo blades very much; my only complaint is that after each cut some of the red coating comes off the blade and you can see a red mark on each piece of the wood; I can live with that because nobody wii ever see the end grain of the wood.

I ordered two, but the problem with ordering from Cripe is all the other stuff that wants to leap into my cart before I check out.
