I bought a 13 piece set for about $30 a few years ago and they’ve never been used. Today I was removing an exhaust heat shield on my 87 Land Cruiser. Soaking everything with Kroil yesterday, I tried a regular socket, vise grips, and heat/cold cycles with a torch and water. Nothing. Grabbed the proper size extractor from this set and was able to get some turns on the partially rounded heads.
I don’t have a clue about durability but I was sure glad to have them on hand today.
