I will be renting an excavator to do some digging around the house and to connect the garage foundation drain to the house foundation drain. Garage floor is terribly heaved and cracked. I am wondering if a smaller excavator will be able to rip out the old concrete given that there are several places to get hold of to start? I have plenty of places to put the old stuff, no problem there. I need the old crete out so I can fill in under the floor where dirt is missing from water intrusion, compact it and pour a new floor.
