The piggyback charger stopped working on my Streamlight knuckhead light last week. The transformer that plugs in the outlet smelled as if it burned out.
I emailed Streamlight and asked if the transformer was sold as a seperate item.
They asked for the battery date code in my Knucklehead (3 years old) and address.
They replied that a new charger was being sent to me FREE.
Note that the charger has only a 12 month warranty.
Hell, I was only wanting to buy a replacement transformer on my own dime. What's a guy to do with such a great company as Streamlight.....just continue to buy their excellent products.
BTW, my Knucklehead has been dropped from lifts, bathed in tubs of trans fluid (all accidental of course) and continues to kick *** everyday in the shop. It was sent back once for a repair (Free) due to a slight dimming of the light when pivoted at a certain spot.
If you are wanting the most reliable, rechargeable hand-held shop light, look no further than the Streamlight Knucklehead
