Hi all,

Been a bit of a lurker on this forum for some time and decided that I really liked the content and community here so I decided to join. A little bit about myself.
I am a facility manager for a beautiful conference center/summer camp in the PNW (Eastern Washington State). I am fortunate in my career because it has allowed me to do a lot of different work/tasks so I feel that I have a fairly broad range of skills.

I am naturally a bit of a researcher, especially when it comes to tools, products or anything that has piqued my interest (one of the reasons I ended up lurker on here so often was for research of a new tool 😂). My belief is to buy once, cry once and that if you are doing something, it is worth doing correctly and with the proper equipment. I like products that last, that are designed with pride, lifetime tools and equipment.

I am generally pretty organized as well and have been spending a decent amount of energy at my work to also improve the organization and efficiency of our shop and workflow.

Excited to be a part of the GJ community and I hope that I can contribute here as well as learn.

Thanks

Thrilled to be on board as of today, as I have been benefitting from the excellent info on Garage Journal for the last year or so as I have started accumulating vintage tools. I am an older dude, lets just say I started working on cars as a DIYer and out of necessity about 50 years ago to put it in perspective. I now lean more towards wood working as me and gasoline fumes just don't mix any more. I have a weakness for auction buying and love to buy those full boxes and messy piles of stuff that may have the hidden treasure in them. Just did my first tool post on the 10 inch Adjust A box that I came across today. Living here in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Thanks. I am just north of Spokane. If we need to go to Costco, then it is into Spokane we go. 🤣 I am closer to Newport if you are familiar with the area.

^ was very windy and dry (until the rain started.) also quite cool at that elevation. the landscape to the north was pretty spectacular. not sure where the photos are (I was having difficulty with photos when that report was posted.) you will need to schedule any ventures up there around the "grizzly" window - they close the area seasonally for the bears.
