exhaust fan placement

I have a have 20x30 garage with a hot dawg heater in one corner. I am wondering if any one has any recommendations for where to place a through wall exhaust fan to decrease the hot air from the heater to pulled directly out side when fan is in use.

What are you intending to exhaust? To reduce how much heat you discard I'd use some kind of fume extractor to get at the source of the fumes.

You may want to consider a good filter system to simply clean the air...i.e. for dust and welding fumes.

Engine fumes would need to be exhausted.....

It would be for manly welding fumes. I live in Michigans upper peninsula and It gets cold and snowy here so I cant open the garage door for long periods of time.

From the way your question is written, turn the thermostat on the heater to a lower setting....

Welding fume extraction and filtering is a very common need. You definitely will find what you need using those keywords with some internet searching.
