exhaust pipe cutter

I am doing my own dual exhast system on my car and I'd like to make an "h" pipe to join the two pipes before the mufflers any ideas on cutting a "mouth" accuratly on the cross section or should I just go buy one?

Hole saws, practice. patience.

Unibit (Stepped drill bit ) and a die grinder. You could also use a pneumatic body saw (Love mine)

Assuming you have only basic metalworking tools, I would recommend using the bench grinder for roughing and a file for finishing. Personally I prefer to do tube notching on the mill.

I would use a air cut off wheel for the rough cut, and a 3.5" grinder for final shaping.

Although, if I was you, I would get a Y-collector. Dumping one bank into the side of the other is bad ju-ju.

It's possible to draw a wrap around pattern for the holes & ends difficult and time consuming, hole saws with the tubing jig makes it very easy, I don't like the sound that is created or lost doing it.

if you are doing your own you should think about doing an X pipe instead
