exhaust vents on corrugated

I am exhausted looking for vents.

I have been looking at exhaust vents for the bathroom fans that mount to the outside of the house. Most are plastic or sheet metal and work on flat houses. We have used corrugated siding on the back of the house, what should I do to fill the gaps in the corrugated?

Mount the vent in a suitably sized block of wood mounted to the wall, then wrap the block itself with "C' metal actually J profile. You can also buy closures both underside and outside for any metal profile.

I've always had access to metal flashing so I've just cut a 3/4 inch thick block and monted it to the wall, then bore the hole, mount the vent and trim it with the "C" metal and reinstall your metal. You can face the block with flat sheet metal too.

Why not mount the plastic one, and fill any cracks/voids with silicone?

That's the closures I was talking about. They really don't so much keep the rain and water out as they are intended to keep air movement restricted and bugs.

We recently re roofed with metal and moved the bathroom vents to the soffit. I believe mid America is the company that makes them. They blend in and disappear from view.
