I don't know about their AGM batteries.... but as a general rule Exide batteries don't have the best reputation.

I can't speak to current quality but I just replaced my oxide AGM spiral battery that was in my Jeep after 8 years of Arizona heat and bouncing around off road. I was quite happy with that.

that being said I have a die hard platinum in it now. sears puts them on sale online every now and then for $183 so a little better than. 230

The trick with AGM is to never ever kill it, and if you by chance do, recharge it as slowly as you possibly can... .5a charging

Picked up two new Optima Yellow tops for my diesel truck (Ford F350) for $158 each, drop shipped from a reseller on fleabay. Couldn't beat that price!

Lead acid when fully discharged 2-3x usually results in a warped plate and it won't charge right after that. AGM doesn't have that issue. AGM also lasts for approx 2x as long (nearly 10 years).

Most trickle chargers have a lead vs agm setting now. My Craftsman microprocessor one seems to do a very good job.

Optima Blue for RV/trailer that doesn't get charged regularly from an alternator. Yellow for vehicles that get charged with an alternator and run electronics. Red for starting only. I run a blue for my camper and yellow for my truck.

Sam's Club carries the Duracell AGM batteries in several sizes, but not in all states. Very good prices in store if you need one locally.

Did a fair amount of research when I just replaced my 6yr old motorcraft and the sears agm made by odyssey is the way to go, 100 mth warranty but not too cheap @ $229 YMMV

Best Kept Secret.

Nothing beats that Diehard Platinum aka Odyssey rebrand. 8 year guarantee (3 years full replacement and 5 yrs Pro-rated).

I have a Custom truck and I love that it has side and top terminals so nothing looks crowded. I left my lights on so HID HL, HID FL, all my Autometer gauges and interior lights were on for about 3 hours or a little more. I walked out of the movie theater and cursed myself. Stuck the key in and she turned like butter. Did a burn out to charge em up and I was on my way!

Nothing else will ever go in any of my vehicles only DieHard Platnums which is worth every penny!

The problem with Optimas is that the quality has gone down (from what I have read...) they were really great while ago, and many are still on the older batteries, but the new ones just don't live up to the same standard.

True, quality control when to **** when Johnson Controls bought them. The old ones lasted forever, new ones are worse than average.
