My detached garage is 30x30 and was unfinished when I bought my house in 2016. Supposedly the previous owner did mechanic work.
I want to put a 2 post lift in. I know 4" of concrete is the minimum recommended.
These pics show the front of the garage floor where I cut out part of the wall and installed a single car garage door beside the double door already there.
The slab appears to be 4.5" thick.
A couple of questions.
1. Can I assume the floor thickness is consistent where the lift would be installed compared to what I see here?
2. Is there any way to tell by looking at the concrete if it is high strength concrete?
I plan on drilling to check depth at the install location anyway. Just thinking ahead in case I need to cut out the area.
Thanks!
Wade
