If you already have a garage with a floor. How would you put in the floor heat?

You wouldn't....unless you want to cut it all in and then cover the whole thing in another 2" of concrete.

You could do a 2" slab on top of your current floor.

^^ what he said, its called an over pour install .. if your preexisting slab is insulated throw down some 4x8' sheets of mesh, tie your tube to that and call for your pour

And if it's not insulated you either pay a lot more to heat the ground, or you don't use in-floor heat.
