Exit pipe distance needed? for MAss. Code

ANyone know How far out from the garge the pipe has to exit for Modine Hot Dawg HD45 in Mass.

The HD45 only has 3 inch pipe? How come Mr Heater & others are larger

M45k btu radiant tube heater is a 3" pipe. The code should be more than just distance from the exterior wall. There's distances from windows, from roof overhangs, etc.......Mine had to be 18" to stick out past my soffit overhang. Looks goofy, but it's on the rear of the building.

Yes, it meets all other distance regs. but no word on roof overhang or distance out from wall.

I have the 75,000 unit in my garage and had it extending out slightly less than 12". It bubbled a bit of paint on the wall and lots of it under the sofet. Some friends of mine worjk in the business and said 18". I didnt know why, but now I do. lol I just rerouted it through the roof and now have no problems. It looks 20 times better instead of the big pipe wanaging out the side of my garage. Just a heads up. G

IS yours one level? I have and upstairs so my sofet is a long ways away. i am going to go 12 which is more than sofet so I think I am good?
