Thought I would share some of the tools that some of you
might of never seen before.

I own a 1995 F355 Ferrari and it came with a tool kit. The tools
are stamped Ferrari.

Apparently these are quite collectable.

What do you think? Snap-on quality?

Better be snappy quality, with how much it cost as an add on, when the car was new.

I hope you don't mind this contribution; the Mclaren F1 road cars came with a "bespoke" toolkit fitted with titanium Facom wrenches.

Guys, those tool kits look awesome. I could go get the lug wrench for my pickup truck, but at this point I think it is safe to give you the win and a [emoji481]

That kit may have actually been sourced from USAG. USAG is an Italian tool manufacturer that Facom purchased. Some USAG tools were likely manufactured by Facom and vice versa, but the tool designs weren't always the same. Those designs look closer to the Italian made tools. Ferrari later had Facom as its tool kit supplier.

Check out ultimategarage.com. He is a member here and he currently has a 3pc titanium Ferrari wrench set, along with some pics of Facom cart setups (sold out, but the info and pics are there) and all kinds of crazy/great stuff. I would post a link but my computer went all ovarian and is giving me a hard time.

They could also be Beta (Italian)...but I agree with neo above, they don't look like Facom, (even 1990's vintage) from what I can see. The case is a clear winner, the tools seem 'fine' but not themselves remarkable.

That being said, Facom has issued leather tool/Kit bags, here is a pic others may have more info...

I think you're correct; for many years USAG advertised that they supplied the hand tools to Ferrari.

I can't believe no one has made the seemingly obligatory comment about a certain off shore importer of tools that are jut as good...

Somebody can buy a Mclaren F1, but not a camera that can focus?

-Actually, it's a trait of more expensive cameras. You can't do it with an iPhone without an app that digitally fakes it. :D

It's called "depth of focus", or bokeh. Most cheap cameras, point-and-shoots and cell phones have incredibly narrow F-stops, often on the order of f11 to even as high as f22. The higher the number, the narrower the aperture and the deeper the depth of focus.

Higher quality cameras can have an aperture as wide as f1.4, or even f1.2, which produces a very narrow depth of focus- the foreground and the background are fuzzy.

This is generally used as an artistic effect, the lead the viewer's eye to the part of the photo the author wishes to accentuate- in this case, the body, and thus name/brand, of the wrenches.

Very rare tools. Most expensive European cars came with those kind of kits and very hard to find.

My guess is USAG made.
Or Facom.

Like tools for the 356 Porsche and E-type Jags, the tools are not so much collectable as they are the easiest thing to steal/remove from the car thus they go "missing." And thus the cost to replace, if even available, is exhobanant.

I"ve got a local guy that used to have this as a collection,.
Every year he sells and buys so it rotates.

And yes, that is the Paris Auto Show Ferrari 250 with the lipstick red interior. One off. (And the colors of the French flag-go figgure.) LOL.

Yeah, ok. Why aren't the wrenches in focus?

Sorry, that's an engine out job.

Uhhh, what are you talking about? That is not the cam belt we are looking at....that is the p/s and alternator belts. Both of which can be changed without engine being pulled. Hell, I've heard of guys doing cam tensioners in the car.

They are, just a very small portion. Low depth of field produces only a very small area which is in focus.

It's still crappy photography. most of the detail it's purported to show is blurry.

I don't think either the gloves or the hands are needed! :see:
