Expansion joint filler problems

Has anyone else had problems with filling an expansion joint with SIKA expansion joint filler, I believe I used, and it turning yellow over time underneath polyurea? I have a pretty pronounced yellow line now down the middle of my floor, which isn't a huge deal for me because it's a work space, not an art gallery. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

SIKA should not be used under coatings. It is mainly used after the floor has been completed and then you can come in and fill the joints. Personally, I don't use it at all.

Use 100% solids epoxy joint filler to fill joints before the primer is applied.

Yeah, that is unfortunate. As Benwah stated, SikaFlex should not be used for that. It's a highly flexible joint sealer that is typically used for expansion joints and not contraction joints. In addition, if a somewhat heavy tool box with smaller wheels is rolled over a joint done like that, the SikaFlex will flex under weight and the coating will crack.

The article below explains the differences in the joints and what products should be used.
