I'm getting ready to pour a 25' x 36' garage floor and looking for suggestions related the expansion joints to prevent cracking:

I plan on expansion joints at the concrete block perimeter wall. Should I break up the floor in something like 1/4ths with expansion joints or will I be okay with only the perimeter wall joints

Thanks!

Not to be picky, but but what you are talking about are better described as 'contraction' joints. Their purpose is to control where the slab cracks as it contracts during the curing process.

I'd cut one joint in the long direction and two the short direction. This will give you square panels of about 12 x 12.
