Experience with INFAR wrenches - Taiwan

I am looking for offset boxend wrenches for that seldom situation...

Anyone have experience with INFAR wrenches from Taiwan. I have generally had good success with Taiwan made tools - much better than Chinese.

In fact, a Cummins mechanic told me 35 years ago some that some of the Taiwanese tools were decent quality and I can only hope they are better now.

Taiwan probably makes 90% of the fasteners we use on a daily basis...so...they have their manufacturing down in my opinion.

As usual, if its something to use once in awhile, buy away. If its daily use or nearly so, I think I've seen those in either Cornwell or Snapons catalog.

The ones we all bought were stubby though, so not exactly like the ones he posted. They are still worth a look though as the Toptuls are very nice.

I have never heard of INFAR until Today but if they have the DIN on the package they should be up to specs and get the job done for you.

Not sure how to read the #838 but I am sure someone on the GJ can tell us what it stand for (Metal make-up, strength etc.

I know this thread is five years old, but it looks like Infar is also now making the non-ratcheting Icon wrenches for harbor freight, while hi-five is manufacturing Icon's ratcheting wrenches........
