Expert Tool Box by MAC

Has anyone here had experience with the Expert line of tool boxes from MAC? These appear to be their entry level line. A slightly used one is available locally to me (42” wide x 18” deep x 40” tall). Unfortunately, I cannot find specs on them. What is your experience with them? What is the drawer load capacity? I am an at-home weekend wrencher looking for an additional tool box, preferably made in North America.

It appears that Cornwell sold a version of this as well. Below is a picture of a Cornwell-branded one for sale near me and obviously owned by a Ford fan

I think stickers look messy. Wile I have a few stickers, I put them onto fridge magnet material I buy at STAPLES. This way I can take the stickers off or give them away.
I bought a MAC Professional off the tool truck. In a few years, the lower roller cabinet split between the wide and narrow drawers. I would happily pay more money to have the OEM toolbox have better wheels.
I think the wheels could be better on the box the OP is looking at.

High quality casters are not cheap at all. As I mentioned in another thread I wouldn't be surprised at all if the casters on my SO master series cost $160 a pop, not from SO either, from whoever makes them.

The un-stickered one supposed to be 2 years old and in like new condition. Private Seller is asking $750 OBO and throwing in a few misc hand tools.

Based on some online searches, it appears these were frequently sold as part of an “Expert Tools” starter mechanics set to technical school students.

@Fedwrench Thanks! when I searched the MAC Tools website, I could not find it. This answers most of my questions!

I'm not sure if it matters to you - but a lot of people find 18" deep drawers to not be sufficient depending on the type and quantity of tools you have. Make sure that it meets your needs
