extending max jax hoses from motor to divider valve

Hey guys i have a quick question for max jax users. I have a max jax mx-6 and want to get rid of the hoses on the floor. The standard hoses that come with it are just shy of 15 feet and they said i could extend them up to 30 feet. But i want to just extend the hose from the motor to the divider valve about 18 feet and the divider valve will hang on the ceiling and the standard hoses goes to the posts and will be the same size in length. This is much more cost effective. when i mentioned this idea they responded

"I checked with our quality control and it is not recommended to extend the power unit hose.
You can do the modification at your own risk, but this has not been tested.
There are a few risks in doing this. The first risk would be the arms lifting unevenly within spec even after troubleshooting. The second would be having to pour additional oil to the reservoir than the recommended amount"

So just curious has anybody done it the way i want to without issues? I attached pictures of what i want to do just to get a better visual.

Thanks in advance.

Why not just mount the power unit on one of the columns, leave the diverter as is, and run just one line overhead? Based on your description, looks like your hoses may end up being too long.

thanks for the idea but more risk of uneven lift with different length hoses (one would be like 2 feet the other would be like 20 feet) plus with the MX-6 model has the locks on the side so the pump reservoir would be mounted in a really low position. Not as big a deal but the plug in the picture is my 20 amp plug for the lift trying to not have to re-do it if i can.

I've mounted my pump next to the column and extended one hose up and over the rafters to drop to the far cylinder. Zero issues. I wouldn't hesitate in extending the hose.

It wouldn't take much to fab up a bracket that still clears the external lock, and still wouldn't be too high.

Lots of us have mounted our power packs to the side of columns, and the dissimilar hose lengths have no affect on lifting (assuming everything has been bled properly). In fact, MaxJax will also tell you that the different hose lengths have no bearing, as long as you stay under max length and stay under max weight. I've lifted our 5700lb Expedition with mine....

I'm just afraid you are over complicating things with your proposed set up, and running a longer extension cord to the power pack is a lot easier than trying to get the pack on the wall beside the plug.
