I lost one, I don't have a great use for it but replaced it at the right price at Menards. I also wanted one on a pendant rig up I have for light stands and wanted a 12 to make it full 20A. They are 25 ft 12 for 15$. Ita pvc but for my deal its fine. The next best was 30$ and Lowes was 40.
I bought 2 should have scooped the deal on 1 really, one will probably sit. I had one with a 3 way specific for use with my Maxstar to allow for a grinder but thats not really a deal.

It isn't a high quality coating but the price was right for sure. Made it a lot less painful to dedicate it somewhere to a job.

If that meets your needs, great. But cheap is cheap. I would not call buying cheap cordage at low prices a bargain. It is not just a coating, it is what the individual wire and outer insulation are made of and how the resist heat, cold and abraison and remain flexible. Also the OW and OOW refer to oil and water resistance. I'm glad you got what you needed.

Agreed 100%.
sberry, the next time you are at Menards, compare the cheap made in China cords to the quality made in USA cords. I believe they will say "contractor" in yellow lettering. If you wait for their 11% off sale, you can get a good quality cord at a decent price.

I was applying this to a dedicated location. The price was right and instead of leaving a light cord on swapped one out with a pass thru of 20 just in case,,, the 16 was sufficient for real operators know enough not to overload it but the price made a good fix a lot less painful. I have dozens of real work cords and didnt want to sacrifice one where it wont matter.

I was just looking at them this week. They have a lot of USA made cords under their house brand and several were on sale, plus they had 11% rebate.

Yup. My drywall crew was using my 16 x 100' cord with a power strip on the end with a heater and several tools plugged in to that.

Next day I bought one of those cheap 12 x 25' cords for them to use.

The downside was they could no longer warm their hands on the cord.

I guess I'm pretty lucky when it comes to extension cords. I do Trade Show electric for a living now and one of our competitors in the same building has a habit of not picking up their cords when the shows are done. They only use high quality #12 round cords from 15' to 50'. We use all flat cords for 120v so we don't reuse their cords at work. We dump their cords in a bin for them to pick up. If they don't then they are fair game for us to use for personal use. Any contractor that has done any work for me usually ends up with a few. This also applies to high quality power strips as many vendors just leave them behind when the shows finish. We use some plastic ones that I won'u use at home I prefer the metal ones so I can attach them to shelves and work benches.
