One of the reasons i love my hutch so much is the extension and ratchet storage. However there is no reason why you couldn't use the holder in a drawer, they are pretty cheap and would rivet to the drawer base easily.

I really like this idea, I would love a hutch but I don't see why this couldn't go on the lid of my service cart! I never really close the lid and it would be right there above my sockets!

I clip mine to a socket rail as well.

I just use a standard silverware tray (Brought a black one) for my extensions. The longer 1/2 and 3/8 extensions fit in the longest side, then shorter 1/2, 3/8, and 1/4 extensions each have their own section. Little top section holds adapters and reducers.

Works well and was like $2. Was shallow enough to fit in the shallow, small drawer of my HF 5 drawer cart.

I bolted an extruded aluminum socket rail to the back of one of my drawers and have them sorted by length. It keeps things in place and nicely visible if any are missing while being fairly dense.
