I'm going to put in a couple of exterior LED flood lights on my detached garage, so as i walk toward the garage i will have light to enter. Do i drill a large hole through the wall to put the box in, or drill a hole for the wire, mount the box on the exterior, then the light to the box? It seems as the light will be several inches longer if i mount the box to the exterior instead of drilling a large hole for the box??? Am i thinking wrong????
