Working on getting my new shop built. Looking for pictures of your exterior light, mainly on the front.
Shop is 30x60x12 Pole barn.
I have 3 goose neck barn style lights. was going to place one each between the roll up doors and one at the man door. was thinking between the man door and window. all lights would be aprox. 8-9 ft up. too high?
Thanks for pictures.

Hey guys, what brand are you using? Size? LED or HPS or ??? I'm looking for two goose necks for the exterior of my shop as well, above the 12' doors.

I ordered these from Depot:

because the non-replaceable LED failed on one of my seven year old gooseneck-wanna-be fixtures (all I could find at the time).

I am much happier with the new fixtures as the light is farther from the wall so you can’t see how wavy the siding is, and they take screw-in bulbs so I don’t have to unwire/rewire at height to replace.

I despise non replaceable LED type fixtures like you had. Even the 6 double floods I put up are the standard screw in bulbs.
I have 4 goosenecks i have to put up at the shop but looking at them to purchase some look cheap and some are really expensive. I had no idea .
But I'll probably get the same ones you did.

And black is perfect as my building metal is matte black.

I don't have 'style'. Mine are just big, bold, prison lights. There's three along the 50' side of my shop and light up my entire backyard. They're not there for ambiance. They're there for when I need to do something in the yard after dark.

I do have a string of LED decorative lights running along the overhang that I can turn on if I need mood lighting.

The carport area of my shop doesn't have any lights. There's a single battery powered motion activated light under there for when I need to get something out of the truck. But mostly it's there to light up when the cat walks under it at 3AM.

We have these over the doors on our house; I'll use the same on our shop.
