Exterior Paint Help -- Oops!

I am wrapping up my exterior paint project (house), and pretty happy with how it is all coming out for being my first real big paint project. I am using Kelly Moore Premium paint and really like it. I am finishing the trim now, but I made a mistake. My trim is white, as are my white aluminum gutters. I got paint on my gutters while painting the fascia boards. Both are white, so not terribly noticible. In fact, probably only noticible to me. But, if there is a way to remove the paint without a huge amount of effort, I would like to.

Any way to remove dried latex paint from an aluminum gutter without hurting the finish on the gutter?

Thanks!

Adam

No. Goof off removes latex paint but it will probably eat what's on the gutter too. Can't you just paint over it matching the gutter paint?

Goof Off will probably work if the paint is fresh. Just be careful not to rub the aluminum itself, if possible.

Use a product called Krud Kutter
http://www.krudkutter.com/

Can be used on damn near anything. I've seen it used to removed spilled latex paint on finished hardwood without any damag to the hardwood floor. You can buy it cheap at Home Depot. Goof Off or Oops might be a bit too aggressive of a product for your application.

Thanks guys. My biggest worry would be making things worse. As I said, it's probably only me that notices it since it's white on white-- but I'll try these ideas and see how they work.

If the latex haven't been there for long, spirit can work as a solvent that takes the latex but don't make anything to the aluminium.
