Who all makes them, chrome or impact? I see Sunex and GP have them in impact sockets, does anyone else offer them? Thanks!

I have seen some select sizes that are meant for spark plugs. Are you looking for an entire set?

I've ran into a few situations where a little extra depth would have make the job easier, so I just figured I'd look into sets so everything is covered.

I’ve got a pair made by cta tools in 10 and 12mm 3/8 drive. Used them for some body stuff like bumper removal and some odd stuff on German cars

i have made the ones i have needed. cheap impact socket, the correct size pipe and a welder do wonders. don't forget to weld a stop in the pipe so the nut or bolt doesn't become "lost" in the socket. i have about a 10 inch deep 15/16 that has been used heavily for years with no issues.

good call :spit:

i typed without thinking. without going to look i am pretty sure it is 1 1/8 and not 15/16. the band dual rods and clamps use a heavy nut. we used to have duals and triples on a few things with band duals. now i only have one tractor that i sometimes put the triples on and even that has been a while. i only take the duals off of one tractor now and it has axle mounted hybs with metric hardware. all of my heavy pullers have tracks.

i have toyed with the idea of making extra deep or long sockets in 1/2, 9/16 and 3/4. they could be fabbed up in short order if material was on hand. once in a great while i run into a belt tensioner or threaded rod that requires 4 or 5 inches of pull.

as a side note. i started with a deep socket. when you split a shallow socket in half you don't have much material to work with.

I have Snap On,Mac,and Cornwell very expensive 1/2 drive. Some are to remove straps on gas tanks.
Look at SIML160 or SIML180 Snap On. They also come in metric.
I think they around 5 inches long.
