Extra long extensions. 24 inches and up. Do you use them?

I only have them in 3/8" and really like the locking ones. Sometimes its just a matter of standing up a little straighter and not bending over reaching down into the engine bay.

Agree- limited use, but worth every penny when you need one.

Just ordered a MAC 3/8 drive 34 inch chrome extension. I already have a 36 inch 1/2 drive chrome extension (Proto).

I have many configurations in 24 inch long and below.

1/4 inches 34-36 inches? Never seen one of those. I think it would be pretty twisty at that point.

Part number? Link?

How is it built--a 3/8" extension with a 1/2" female? or a 1/2" extension with a 3/8 male? (Makes a big difference.)

Given a choice, I'd want one rated for impact duty.

Also most of the tool companies make extensions even longer than 24”, I have a 3/8’s and 1/2, then they make them 1/2 on the drive with 3/8 on the socket end. Those are really good for transmission bellhousing bolts, especially on some of these vehicles with no room.

PSD glow plugs, turbo clamps, exhaust Y pipe, torque converter, bell housing....

You can do it with shorter ones, but why reach if you don't have to?

Top bolts on rear shocks- 60s thru 80s GM cars. Not as often as I used to, but I still have them available if needed.
Manifold to y pipe nuts (after heating with a torch)
I am not in the rust belt, so I used a 36" 3/8" speed wrench to get those top shock bolts on GMs that had that type of shock. Lots easier than ratchet and extension.
