Menards sells a set of long picks.
All too short unfortunately, all are 10" max, definitely longer, but I need extra long.

Would 12” work? Snap-on SGL12ASH90B and SGL12ASH45B have a thicker shaft diameter but taper at the end into a smaller sharp point. The 45° tip has a special shape with a slight hook.

^^That's a good idea with a 12" hex extension. If OP is stateside, the only place I've seen those for sale is through Autobahn Dan. He has a regular set and an extra long set:

The Deen set is expensive though, and I know Ullman aluminum hex handle is a 1/4" inch, but no locking detent, so would need a locking bit holder that can grab these.

I have an Ullman set, great quality!
