Extra tall pipe stand

I needed to support four 15' lengths of pipe 8' up the other day. I grabbed a V-head Ridgid pipe stand and tacked it to one of my homebrew underhoist stands LOL.

Worked great.

My carpenter buddy said dude you know they have these things called 2x4's. I told him you know I don't own any lumber LOL. Worst building material ever. But in all seriousness lumber wouldn't have afforded infinite adjustability

Many pipe stands have a 1 1/2'' tube insert that the screw jack ifs into. You can remove the tube and drop in 1 1/2'' conduit into the stand and the three legged base will set on ground. Since you are over 10' you could tack on another piece of thinwall. Since we work with pipe everyday we could use 1 1/2'' SS tube and do it.
Those pipe stands have many uses for sure.

this is what I do
have assorted lengths of pipe because I use it for a helping hand under cars while on lift.
