extra wire in 14/4 MC cable

There is an uninsulated wire along with the 4 insulated wires,

what should I do with it, should I snip it off close to the jacket, by that I mean I don't need to ground it or anything?

I am using the 4 insulated wires for mini split interconnect cable. and I can't have a bare wire hanging out in the proximity.

And, I put the red bushing go inside the jacket, did I assemble it properly?

I always wrap it around the jacket a couple of turns and then put it under the clamp.

Right. It ensures continuity/grounding between the ends of the armor.

I would say it is not MC cable, looks like AC cable which is required to have a bond wire.

I shortened the bond wire, wrapped and have it clamped it in the groove now

As said above its not MC wire. Its AC wire.

MC doesnt have a bonding wire.

Not AC as it has a green wire and AC is not for wet locations. Has a rubber covering so not sure what it is. Some new type of MC?

I believe it's a version of Teck cable, we have a wholesaler selling it for use as minisplit interconnect cable.
