Masterforce: 24" depth w/ 15dr and SS top @ $1000
Extreme: 25" depth w/ 19dr and SS top @ $2300
Extreme: 30" depth w/ 17dr and SS top @ $2600

The masterforce and extreme is two different tier ... just way-off comparison. However, the 30" depth is a better buy bt the two extreme boxes. I believe the 30" will hold its value much better than the 25". The total area of the drawers bt the extreme 17dr and 19dr might be the same.

I have the Masterforce 72" at home and absolutely love it! It doesn't get heavy use as its just in my home garage. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a second if I needed it...

Drawer layout is a big one for me, your links are not working so I am not sure if they have a different configuration.

Also as far as the boxes, how is the harbor freight version? I think it is not as deep, but just curious since the economy minded are looking.

X2 on drawer layout & there's no right or wrong answer. I felt like my old box wasted a lot of space so I went for a bunch of shallow drawers. It works for me but I have a few empty drawers that I can't fit certain tools in where I'd like to have them to minimize bending down. Also I have room now but if I need plier racks I'll have to move them to a less convenient drawer. I have never seen either brand in person so I can't speak to the quality but have read that's extreme's value line so they're probably similar

I'm happy with my Extreme 56" toolbox. The only thing that could be better in my opinion is the detent style drawer closure. The drawer closure doesn't work as good as the soft closure style drawers on my New Age Pro cabinets. Here is a picture of my Extreme 56" toolbox, and you can see the New Age Pro cabinets in the background.

Here is one of the shallow drawers, and one of the deep drawers in the Extreme toolbox, so you can get an idea of what they're like.

And here is one of the small drawers.

I also have the Masterforce 72, but I went black and the butcher block top.

I looked at Extreme but I needed more space, not a better box so I upgraded my 56 inch Masterforce to the 72. The grip latches are nice compared to the old style ball detents.

For the money, you can't loose with the MF. I paid more money for mine as well. ***** but oh well.

If the masterforce has a grip latch style drawer lock, I would get that, it is a much more intuitive way to open and close the drawer. Yet when you move it they are staying closed versus sneaking open until they dump the toolbox on its side.
