Extreme tool box blue vs black?

Just like the title says what color would you choose and why?

I am leaning towards the blue just because it would stand out and make a statement but I did not order it yet.

Blue, I currently have a blue Tool Vault box and love it. I've had a black box before and talk about seeing every little spec of dust, never again will I own a black tool box.

Good point in 1986 I had a black car it always looked dirty unless freshly washed.

I chose both, blue for the mechanics tools, black for the machinist tools. I also have some Red Harbor Freight - they have the miscellaneous stuff in them.

By the way the Extreme boxes are great! The HF are a great value, but nothing compared to the Extreme's.

So being that you own both HF and Extreme, the Extreme is hands down a better box? What is better? Some day I will upgrade to a 56" box and would like to know.

Personally I think blue makes for a much nicer looking tool box.

i have a blue Tool Vault. if i had to do it all over again id get green or orange.

if i had the money to get a trunk brand box it be some sort of maroon metallic or some sort of gray/silver.

over seas brands usually come in black/blue/green/orange/red. they dont have all the cool colors the trunk brands have.

(dont mind the mess. moving some things around in the garage)

I too would like to know what makes them better?

I have the 42" models, they have heavier gauge construction, better finish, smother-tighter slides, and most importantly the drawer layout is better - more tall drawers compared to the HF.

The handles are extrusions fastened to the drawer front, not just an aluminum cover over the drawer lip (HF). Casters are marginally better. Aluminum corner trim is nice but not a big deal.

The only thing I don't like about the Extreme is the hideous logo on the bottom larger drawer. I removed mine straight away, it makes an otherwise nice box look cheap.

I agree the large logo on the extreme will be the first to go.

With blue or black as the only option, I'd choose blue. I'm tired of red, and black, while preferable over red, is getting played out, too.

The extreme professional model is what I'm gonna get, 56" wide by 30" deep and 600lb drawers, all the reviews rave about it. I have personally seen and played with a regular "non pro" model it was a 72" it's used in a shop by a mechanic every day for years and he loves it, the box was very sturdy so the pro model would probably be all the better.

My favorite color blue but couldn't resist the extreme green for my tool box.

If I could choose my color I would get orange but that is not an option.

Extreme for now only comes in blue or black.

seems like blue is the prefered color over the black.

I bought the black Tool Vault Elite roller cabinet for two reasons- 1) Orange was not available, and 2) I think i may want the lime green top box or hutch one day, and thought it would look better with the black
