Has anybody had any real experience with the extreme tool boxes? I'm considering buying one but I've never seen anybody with one and I can't find them in stores. I'm a full time technician and I'm looking for a heavy box around 3k. I looked at the box reviews but they all look fake too me. I've seen one or two real reviews but not enough too order a 3k box I've never seen before. Thanks for the help.

I have the Extreme tools triple bank with stainless top. Not the pro one

I love it, especially for the price. I only use it for home use, but I believe it would hold up for professional use.

My only complaint was it took the detents awhile to wear in..super hard to open the draws at first. Once you add weight and use them it gets better. They send the box with other detents but they are just as bad.

Otherwise the draws are solid, I have loaded the long top draw with ALL my sockets and it doesnt sag a bit.

I have the 56 with stainless top. I bought it used and it is a very nice box. The only complaint I have is the drawers slide open way to easily. I contacted extreme tools and they sent me new rubber detents and they worked good for about a month. If you even move the box the drawers start to slide open. Box has tipped twice because someone moved the box while it wasn't locked

There are a bunch of reviews on each box these folks sell...

The 55" Extreme Pro is the way for you to go...

Under your price guide, too...

The 72" is a little over your price guide, as is the 55" Combo Set, but they are super stout, super heavy, and worth a lot more than they're charging for them...

Free freight, and free stainless steel top, too...

I wanted a 55 Pro, but my wife bought me a Harbor Freight 56" Roller for Christmas...and having a great grasp of the obvious---I love my box!!!

they're a great mid grade box for the price. acceptable quality for professional use, a step up from anything available in a big box store for home use.

Just FYI, I purchased an Extreme Tools 41 inch 11-drawer rolling cabinet a year ago and was satisfied with the purchase until I rolled the unit into my garage, which has a slight height difference at the threshold between the garage slab and the driveway. Even though the toolbox wasn't fully loaded (much less than each drawer is rated for as specified on their website), rolling over the 1/4" garage lip caused the sheet metal underneath the cabinet to buckle on the seam, right where the caster is bolted to. This buckling causes the two cabinets to lean about 10 degrees, and i'm unable to roll the cabinet safely now. The other caster is starting to bend as well due to the mismatched height of the two back casters.

After calling the company and submitting a warranty claim, the company representative states that "the owner of the company has determined that this is not a factory defect." and have stopped responding to communication. So I'm out over a thousand dollars because Extreme Tools will not honor their own warranty. Buyer beware, these Chinese made toolboxes look nice but do not hold their rated weight and the US marketing company that rebrands them has no intention of standing behind their product.

I like my sloped front top box. Keeps sockets and wrenches organized. I made my own bench for it and put a 52" husky box underneath.

If your budget is $3K, and the Extreme 72" is too much, consider the Tool Vault or Montezuma 72" x 30" that www.strictlytoolboxes.com sells.

It's not quite as robust as the Extreme, but it's SUPER sturdy, and you won't be disappointed with it.

Do they not have anything that is 29-31" depth? Thats where you get the most out of the tool box.

Always best looking at used truck brands when going over 2K, Matco and mac boxes good used buy and some of the older matco boxes proper solid used bargains .

One of the guys I work with has one. Nice looking solid box. He's had it for almost 10 years now.

Only issue he had was the lock cylinders failing. I remember he had some trouble getting support to have it fixed.
