Hi guys
I'm hoping you all can help with a major project I've got going on. I recently built an extension to my existing four car garage and am now in the process of doing the siding. This is a little unique as my existing garage and house are clad in custom built ACP panels and I need to match that look. When I removed the back wall to add the new addition, I took care to remove all of the panels for future use so I've been putting the old ones on the new building but have exhausted that supply along with the mounting brackets. I was able to source the ACP material so I can build the panels but I’m struggling to find appropriate hardware to mount them.
The existing brackets are extruded aluminum pieces that perfectly fit within the panel walls and allow for pretty much plug and play installation as they fit together in such a way that they set the panel gap for me. I’m working with a local sheet metal shop that thinks they can make something similar out of flat stock but I don’t think they’re going to be able to match the rigidity or the distance between the back of the panel and the mounting wall which would make the brackets useless since they would stick out further than the existing panels.
What I’m hoping is that someone here knows who made these brackets initially (probably 20 years ago now) and can point me in the right direction or someone know someone who does or themselves do extruded aluminum. Every place I’ve called has a material weight minimum which I am nowhere near. ☹
I’ve included a few pictures of the brackets in question and the project in general to give you guys an idea of what’s needed. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
