EZ Red started out with battery service tools and their line has grown from there. I think their super long ratchets and ratcheting wrenchs are made by Kabo.

Rwd?

..........

RWD is a catalog of non snap-on tools that each of their dealers have.
This was originally where I saw there stuff. The Snap-On nor the ToolWeb (S&K/gearwrench/other tools) Guys could not give me any feedback on reviews.

Bump. I wanna get their ratchet set (MR482XLC) for about $110 on ebay. Any more opinions on longevity, warranty, etc??

EZ red only warranties the ratchet mechanism on their ratchets. If you break the flex head joint or bend the ratchet handle, it's not covered. However, they're pretty durable if used as intended.

I love the 3/4" extendable. I also have several flash lights which are all great. I like the look of the 3 piece set above. Might be next on my list

Every tech I know who has had ez red tools except one has had nothing but bad things to say. I know two guys that had ratchet wrenches break on them in the first day of use. I stay away. Ymmv

Tekton makes similar ratchets in 3/8 and 1/2. Not sure about 1/4 though. They're similarly priced, and Tektons warranty process may be easier. From what I gather, if you send them an email with a photo of the broken tool, they'll send another.

I have that set and absolutely luv the damn things. I busted the selector on the 1/4" drive, my own fault btw. And they sent me out a replacement set of guts, had those within a couple days. So far I got nothing but praise for these.

Resurrecting thread to introduce something I got locally today, and I love it. It's a very flexible, magnetic pad/mat that folds at the four creases you can see (attached). Seems to be made of soft but tough silicone, with 16 magnets embedded.
I'm using one to hold my "beater" wrenches, and you can strip it off your toolbox and carry it to your car and slap it on wherever. I'm sure many of you smarty ******* can come up with creative ways to use this.

The bad: it's freaking anywhere from 40 to 45 bucks...

Only EZ Red tool I have is 12"ish long 1/4 stick. Bit ratchet on one end and 1/4 square drive on the other. It works well for breaking loose/tightning fasteners, but due to all the back drag, that's about all it's good for

EZ Red has what TOPTUL lacks. A desire to get innovative tools to the market. EZ Red isn't the quality of TOPTUL as they don’t have TOPTUL’S fit and finish but they are always introducing new things and bringing new products to the marketplace. Trust me, when I and TOPTUL were a thing I continuously mentioned to them that they should copy EZ Red's innovation but we all know how that turned out. For those that don’t let’s just say not well.

I've got a few of their tools. They have good stuff. The neck lights / head lights are just about identical to Matco's version for half the price.
