Here's the scene...
It's Sunday and I have wasted enough time messing around. Time to get some work done. I have had the new shocks, pads and rotors for the back of my 2002 pickup for a while now. Lets start with the shocks, as the back end has been jumping around. My tip here is use your air ratchet to get the upper nut off. There is no room between the top of the shock and the bottom of the bed to swing a ratchet more than one click.
Well, got the shocks done in reasonable time, let's move on to the rear brakes. After getting the wheel off, it's not too obvious how to remove the caliper and rotor. Go inside, get a cool drink and refer to the CD Rom Ford manual. Pretty useless as usual. Time to Google it. Here is what I found... Enjoy.

i just did this...but didnt use bolts. i have a pretty heavy dual screw brake pad spreader from craftsman(USA made). it manged to just fit between the rotors and caliper brackets. few cranks and there is a loud pop. i didnt want to use bolts because the holds in the caliper brackets are small and there is a few inches between them and the rotors .

I must have the same setup as you Metal1313. My gear pulled wouldn't fit there either. My pack rat tendencies were reinforced when I found a nice 1/4 plate with a slot I could use the jackscrew method with.
No oriental music when I did it, dang.
