Another look at this wrench and it is probably not very vintage., It has a MM marking.

I use to go there to get slings and lift cables for a company that I worked at many years ago. They are on I-74 @ the second interchange inside Ohio near the Indiana border. They usually have a crane flying a big American flag way up high.

Agree it was contract made but I don't think proto/danielson, the jaw opening is different. Although mfd usa does say proto.

And check out this nos Craftsman. The Challenger you linked, the ops wrench, and this Craftsman are all older WF production is my guess.

FM is an approval agency for hazardous locations. Alot of electrical components for hazardous areas with explosive gases or dusts have the FM mark. It stand for some foreign name. Is it steel or non sparking brass?

The 'FM' approval mark, as used for explosion-proof, etc tools and equipment, stands for Factory Mutual.

"F&M Group" is not a Factory Mutual approval mark.

Turns out this F&M is a Western Forge.

Had to scrape a little paint off to see the letters. I grabbed the nearest WF adjustable I could find which turns out to be this poor Ridgid. This is a reminder of the many neglected used adjustables I've bought that still need attention.
